The Department of Hand and Reconstructive Microsurgery has contributed significantly towards the research and development of hand surgery and reconstructive microsurgery, especially in the fields of replantation, free tissue transfers, refinement in the techniques of muscle and tendon transfer and in the field of hand prosthetics. Through continued research in the fields of tissue engineering and biomaterials, we hope to contribute to and shape the future of hand surgery.
