Welcome to our Dermatology division, where we provide comprehensive care for all dermatological needs. Our dedicated team manages all dermatology inpatients and referrals, operates daily outpatient clinics and offers specialized investigations and treatments for a wide range of skin, hair and nail conditions.

General Dermatology
We manage a broad spectrum of dermatological cases, ranging from common to rare, for patients of all age groups. This includes chronic inflammatory conditions such as atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, psoriasis, acne , urticaria and hidradenitis suppurativa. Treatment options are tailored to each individual patient's needs, based on the latest guidelines and research, including topical treatments, phototherapy, conventional and novel immunosuppressive agents and advanced biologic agents.
Geriatric Dermatology
Patients aged 65 years and older present with unique characteristics including underlying chronic diseases, pharmacotherapy, mobility, function and individual patient preferences. Our clinicians commonly manage dermatological conditions relating to older patients such as dry skin, pruritus, benign and malignant lesions, actinic keratoses, hair and nail disease, rosacea, eczema and drug-related skin eruptions. We take a holistic approach, involving patients, caregivers and focus on maintaining healthy skin throughout the golden years.
Oncodermatology and Skin Cancer Management
Cancer patients often receive a combination of treatment including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiotherapy, transplantations and long-term immunosuppression. These cancer treatments can impact the skin, hair and nails. Our clinicians provide specialized skin care for these oncology patients who are currently undergoing treatment or who have completed therapy. This includes skin-related graft-versus-host disease, drug related skin eruptions and skin side effects from chemotherapy or other related treatments. Our goal is to manage and alleviate skin-related side effects and improve quality of life. We strive to deliver holistic and timely management of primary skin cancers, reducing risks and improving outcomes. This includes early detection of skin cancers via screening in high-risk individuals such as those with multiple moles, a family history of melanoma, history of skin cancer or organ transplantations. Efforts to minimize subsequent risk such as proper sun protection measures are amphasized.
Immunodermatology
Our specialists holistically manage challenging autoimmune blistering and collagen vascular diseases, such as bullous pemphigoid, pemphigus vulgaris or foliaceus, cutaneous lupus erythematosus, vasculitis of the skin and dermatomyositis, often with multidisciplinary input.
Procedural/Surgical Dermatology
Our clinicians evaluate and manage a full range of skin lumps, bumps and discolorations such as epidermal cysts, lipomas, neurofibromas, warts, skin tags, keloids, moles, seborrhoeic keratoses, skin cancers, epidermal naevi, vitiligo, melasma, naevus of Ota, café au lait macules, tattoos, drug-induced pigmentation, among others. We perform outpatient surgical procedures including skin biopsies, electrosurgery, cryosurgery, intralesional steroid injections, carbon dioxide laser surgery and treatment of hyperhidrosis (sweaty palms, soles, armpits) with botulinum toxin injections. Vascular lesions including vascular malformations or tumours may be treated with a combination of laser including vascular lasers. Our unit is a specilaist centre for patients with hidradenitis suppurativa; minimally invasive surgical techniques are employed in conjunction with medical therapy. Mohs micrographic surgery is an advanced dermatosurgical technique which affords precise care for the management of various types of skin cancers. Via a tight network, our team of dermatologists work in close collaboration with pathologists, radiologists, onocologists and surgeons across NUHS to strive for optimal outcomes for patients with skin cancers.
Paediatric Dermatology We treat a wide range of skin, hair and nail conditions in children ranging from infancy through adolescence. This includes common conditions such as newborn rashes, diaper dermatitis, atopic dermatitis (eczema), skin infections, acne and urticaria. Our clinicians also evaluate and treat rare paediatric dermatological conditions including congenital disorders, genodermatoses (such as epidemolysis bullosa and ichthyosis), birthmarks and vascular anomalies (including vascular malformations, tumours and related syndromes). Complex dermatological cases are managed in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team which include paediatricians from various subspecialties, geneticists, surgeons, ophthalmologists and ear nose and throat surgeons and radiologists.
