Critical Care Nursing

In NUH, we have a full range of Medical-Surgical Intensive Care and Surgical and Neuro-Surgical High Dependency units. The critical care nurses work in collaboration with healthcare team members to deliver holistic care for patients with acute and/or complex life-threatening conditions. Our responsibilities encompass cardiac monitoring, assessment, ventilator management, central venous access care and documentation of patients' status. We play a pivotal role in managing both kidney and liver transplant patients. This includes pre- and post-transplant care, physical, psychosocial, and educational support required to aid the patient and family deal with the challenges associated with transplantation.
