This includes conditions related to the thyroid, pituitary, adrenal, gonadal glands, as well as calcium, bone, and metabolic disorders. As a tertiary referral centre, our services cover both inpatient and outpatient care. Our multidisciplinary team, comprising doctors and allied health professionals, is committed to delivering integrated and quality clinical care.
Aligned with NUHS’s vision as an Academic Health System, we are actively engaged in research and the education of both undergraduate and postgraduate medical and allied health professionals. Our staff are recognised experts in their fields, contributing to the development of clinical guidelines and practices for the Ministry of Health.
Our research areas are diverse, ranging from large epidemiology programmes to detailed metabolic assessments, cellular and molecular biology, clinical trials and innovative healthcare delivery models. We maintain active collaborations with both international and national universities and institutions, and conduct joint studies with other departments within the National University of Singapore. We aim to transform healthcare with the application of knowledge from our research and to bridge research methodologies into clinical practice.
Recognised as one of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)-accredited centres for advanced training in Endocrinology, we have an active overseas fellowship programme recognised regionally. Trainees from this programme have successfully continued their practice in countries such as the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Myanmar and Vietnam. Our staff are also active members and contributors to the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine undergraduate medical training and serve as faculty and tutors in the ACGME-accredited internal medicine residency programme.

Our team comprises endocrinologists, advanced practice nurses, diabetes specialist nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, staff and assistant nurses, podiatrists and medical social workers. Each member is dedicated, skilled and compassionate. We work closely with other related specialties in a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
Our inpatient service includes dedicated beds and a consultation service for adults with diabetes mellitus and endocrine disorders.
The NUHS Endocrinology Senior Residency programme provides advanced training in endocrinology. Additionally, we offer a two-year Fellowship programme in general and advanced diabetes and endocrinology. This programme is regularly available to trainees from ASEAN countries and beyond. Under the guidance of our consultants, who are both passionate educators and specialists in various endocrinology subfields, this program follows a comprehensive curriculum. It ensures that trainees become proficient in diagnosing, evaluating and managing a wide range of diabetes and endocrine disorders. Trainees also have the opportunity to participate in multidisciplinary meetings, regional and international conferences and research programmes.
Undergraduate students from the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine experience both inpatient and outpatient settings through postings with us. Our educational approach includes lectures, tutorials, workshops and elective postings, offering a diverse learning experience. We also encourage undergraduate medical students to engage in research opportunities within our division.
For several years, we have been offering clinical attachments for nursing students from the NUS Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies. This three-week attachment provides invaluable hands-on experience within our division.
