Care at NUH

Overseas Medical Evacuation

2026/07/27

The Patient Liaison Centre (PLC) serves as the central coordinating office for overseas patients seeking transfer to the National University Hospital (NUH) for continued medical care, specialist treatment, rehabilitation, or higher-level care.

Information & Assistance

PLC works closely with referring hospitals, medical evacuation providers, embassies, insurers, corporate clients, and patients’ families to facilitate seamless admission arrangements and ensure continuity of care throughout the transfer process.

Our team coordinates with NUH specialists, inpatient wards, intensive care units, ancillary services, and administrative departments to support a safe and efficient transition of care.

Patients and referring parties may engage medical evacuation companies to facilitate safe transfer to Singapore, where required.

Below is a non-exhaustive list of medical evacuation providers for your reference. Please note that NUH does not endorse or guarantee the services provided by these companies. All arrangements should be made directly with the provider.

Step 2: Prepare the required information for submission

  • Full medical report/summary in English (updated within the last 48 hours)
  • Completed NUH Direct Admission Request Form
  • Completed NUH Clinical Checklist for Suspected ID Condition
  • Copy of Patient’s passport (for non-NRIC/FIN holders)

The above are critical information which are required in order for our specialists to assess the patient’s current condition and determine if it is safe for the patient to travel. The information will, where possible, also allow our specialists to advise on the management/treatment plan for the patient at NUH.

Please do not arrange any travel plans for the patient unless a confirmed written acceptance has been provided by PLC. This is because any unplanned arrangement will put the patient at unnecessary risk, especially if he/she is in critical condition.
