Biosketch

A/Prof Gabriel Liu is a spine surgeon who specialises in degenerative, traumatic, neoplastic, and congenital disorders of the spine, as well as general orthopaedics. Dr Liu completed his medical training at the University College Dublin, Ireland in 1994. He subsequently served as a Demonstrator of Anatomy, and completed his Masters of Science in Human Anatomy in 1996. He completed his surgical training in Ireland in 2000. He started Advanced Surgical Training in Orthopaedic Surgery in Singapore in 2000, completing this in 2004.

Dr Liu joined the Department of Orthopaedics at NUH in 2004 as an Associate Consultant. Dr Liu's research interests are in degenerative spinal disease.
