Biosketch

Dr Lin Jingping graduated from King's College London (UK) in 2008 and completed her Emergency Medicine Residency at National University Hospital. Dr Lin practices at both National University Hospital and Alexandra Hospital as a Consultant Emergency Physician. She serves as the Patient Liaison Director of both departments and oversees departmental feedback to improve hospital processes and patient services. 

Dr Lin further serves as Clinical Faculty of NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. She sits on the Examination Committee for the Master of Medicine (MMed) Emergency Medicine Examination and is an instructor for the Advanced Cardiac Life Support Course. She holds an appointment with the Professional Training & Assessment Standards Division of the Ministry of Health, handling Singapore Medical Council appeals. She is also a member of the Emergency Department Palliative Team and developed the departmental Emergency Palliative Guidelines.

Dr Lin’s special interests lie in Clinical Risk Management and Medicolegal matters, and she sits on the Clinical Risk Management & Medicolegal Committee at both National University Hospital and Alexandra Hospital. 

In 2019, Dr Lin was appointed by the Ministry of Health, as part of a 12-member workgroup, to review the taking of informed consent and the Singapore Medical Council’s Disciplinary Process, which concluded with a Report on Recommendations in November 2019 and accepted by the Ministry of Health for implementation.
