
Mr Jeremy Lee, Chief Operating Officer
Mr Jeremy Lee joined the National University Hospital (NUH) in 2009 following a distinguished 13-year career with the Ministry of Defence, where he served as a Military Officer under the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Academic Scholarship.
Over the years, he has held numerous leadership positions in NUH, including Head of Operations with the Emergency Medicine Department, the Department of Paediatrics, Khoo Teck Puat-National University Children’s Medical Institute, as well as Inpatient Operations and Specialised Support Services. His last appointment before being appointed as the COO was Assistant COO of Central Operations overseeing 8 operations department.
In 2018, under his leadership, NUH achieved the highest readiness score in the Ministry of Health-led Exercise Kingfisher. NUH remains the only public hospital to receive this grading. He also transformed bed management in NUH to support accountable care. This is aimed at driving efficiency and optimisation of bed capacity. To this end, NUH has the lowest average length of stay (ALOS) across all public hospital in Singapore.
Mr Lee is currently Chair of the National University Health System (NUHS) Green and Mobility Taskforce and Portfolio Lead, Group Biomedical Engineering.
Mr Lee received the NUHS-Mokhtar Riady Pinnacle Award (Young Achiever) and the NUHS Team Academic Medical Development Award in (year). In 2022, he completed an executive programme with INSEAD, France under the NUH Advance Management Programme.
