Adjunct Associate Professor Karen Koh began her career with the National University Hospital (NUH) in 2000, and holds a Masters in Nursing and Doctorate in Philosophy. She is one of the pioneer Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs) with collaborative prescribing rights in Singapore and has played a key role in building the foundation and shaping the practice framework for APNs nationally.
Adj A/Prof Koh was seconded to the Ministry of Health in 2020 as Assistant Chief Nursing Officer, where she guided the nursing profession through the COVID-19 pandemic, championed the introduction of the tudung for Muslim nurses, and spearheaded the national APN faculty and internship programme.
She returned to NUH in 2022 and was appointed Chief Nurse in 2024.
Adj A/Prof Koh received the COVID Resilience Medal in (year) and the prestigious President’s Award for Nurses in (year), in recognition of her contributions to the nursing profession and healthcare.
