Dr. Tang Si Zhao is an Associate Consultant in Neurointerventional Radiology and Interventional Radiologist, with clinical expertise in minimally invasive treatments for cerebrovascular diseases which include acute ischemic stroke, intracranial aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, and other neurovascular pathologies. He is actively involved in the diagnosis and management of complex neurovascular conditions, with a focus on endovascular therapies. Dr. Tang completed his medical degree (MD) at the National University of Malaysia in 2016, followed by Master of Medicine (MMed) in Diagnostic Radiology from the National University of Singapore in 2020. He also holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Surgical Sciences from the University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom, earned in 2020. In addition, he was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR, UK) in 2021. He has undergone advanced subspecialty training in neurointervention and conferred with both diplomas of stroke intervention and comprehensive neurointervention from the European Society of Minimally Invasive Neurological Therapy (ESMINT) - European Diploma in Stroke Intervention (EDSI) and European Diploma in Neurointervention (EDNI). His training encompasses interventional radiology procedures and specific emphasis on endovascular treatment for cerebrovascular disease inclduing transradial approaches and novel endovascular techniques.
Dr. Tang has co-authored several peer-reviewed publications with focused academic interests in neurovascular diseases and treatment, including research on cerebral venous thrombosis and transradial access in neurointerventional surgeries. He is a member of several professional organisations, including the European Society of Minimally Invasive Neurological Therapy (ESMINT), the Royal College of Radiologists (RCR), and other regional neurointerventional societies. Dr. Tang is passionate in continuous medical education and has participated in numerous international conferences and workshops, fostering collaborations within the neurointervention community. With a strong foundation in neurointervention and interventional radiology, Dr. Tang is committed to advancing patient care through innovation, clinical excellence, and research, while contributing to regional and international discourse on neurovascular treatment strategies.
