Biosketch

Dr Monali Runa is a Consultant in the Children's Emergency, Department of Paediatrics, as well as at the NUH Children's Urgent Care Clinic at Bukit Panjang. She completed her Paediatric training from the London School of Paediatrics and Child Health, United Kingdom, in 2019, following which she moved to Singapore with her family. She studied at the Royal Free and University College Medical School, London. 
 
In addition to clinical work, Dr Runa has a keen interest in medical education. She is a House Tutor and a Communication Skills Facilitator at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, NTU, Singapore. She is also interested in simulation teaching and is a certified Neonatal Life Support (NLS) instructor and Advanced Paediatric Life Support (APLS) instructor in the United Kingdom. 
 
With a keen interest in global health, Dr Runa is also part of the Singapore Emergency Medical Team which is certified by the World Health Organization (WHO). Alongside managing medical emergencies in the Children's Emergency Department, she is also heavily involved in finding ways to improve adolescent mental health and wellbeing in the community.
