Biosketch
Dr Marion Christine Caraon Carteciano previously served as Ambulatory Services Director in the Emergency Medicine Department at the National University Hospital (NUH), where she led the design and implementation of streamlined ambulatory workflows. These improvements enhanced care efficiency, reduced bottlenecks, and improved patient flow across the department.
She continues to serve as a Patient Liaison Officer, playing a key role in delivering “Incredible Care” to patients and their families. In this capacity, she strengthens patient experience on the ground by bridging clinical care with effective communication, empathy, and service recovery when needed.
Dr Marion is currently co-lead for Palliative Care Services in the Emergency Department, where she drives initiatives to improve the right-siting of patients with palliative care needs. Her work supports timely identification, appropriate disposition, and alignment of care with patients’ goals, enabling more meaningful, patient-centred care in a high-acuity environment.
Deeply committed to advancing service delivery and operational excellence in Emergency Medicine, Dr Marion is a strong advocate of “heartwork,” integrating compassion with efficiency to deliver high-quality care.
