Biosketch

Dr Maria Cecilia D. Aquino, M.D., MMed (Ophthalmology) is a Principal Resident Physician with the Department of Ophthalmology at the National University Hospital (NUH), Singapore.

She graduated from and completed her ophthalmology residency training at the University of Santo Tomas, Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, Manila, Philippines. She was subsequently conferred Diplomate in Ophthalmology by the Philippine Board of Ophthalmology, and later obtained her Master of Medicine in Ophthalmology from the National University of Singapore (NUS).

Dr Aquino further pursued subspecialty training in Glaucoma at NUH.

Her research interests focus on laser and surgical management of glaucoma, with an emphasis on advancing clinical outcomes and therapeutic techniques.
