Biosketch

Dr Mamta graduated from Kings College London. Thereafter she completed her early medical and advanced general medicine and respiratory medicine training in and around London and Cambridge. She spent a year working in New Zealand. She also completed a PhD in lung cancer screening from University College London, where she also gained expertise in endobronchial ultrasound and lung cancer diagnosis and staging. She attained her specialist accreditation in respiratory medicine in Singapore. She is an clinical senior lecturer in NUS's clinical faculty scheme and regularly teaches undergraduate student and postgraduate junior doctors. Her research interests include early detection of lung cancer and lung cancer screening (including inequalities in uptake, optimal selection criteria, mangement of lung nodules and other incidental findings).
