Dr Linus Lau is an Associate Consultant at the Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery, National University Health System. He practises at Alexandra Hospital and National University Hospital.
Dr Lau graduated with a MBBS with Honours degree among the top in his class from the Yong Loo Lin School Of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 2013. As an undergraduate, he was on the Dean’s list and was awarded the Margaret Lee Ming Yee Memorial Award, as well as the Albert Lim Liat Juay Medal for his academic excellence. Dr Lau subsequently obtained his post-graduate qualifications: Member of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (MRCS) in 2015 and Masters of Medicine in Otorhinolaryngology, National University of Singapore in 2020. He completed his Otolaryngology Residency Training at NUHS and was accredited as a specialist in Otolaryngology in 2024. Dr Lau received the College of Surgeons Singapore, Gold Medal Award in Otorhinolaryngology and the Society of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery Singapore, Academic Excellence Award for being the best performing candidate of the Otorhinolaryngology Exit Examination in 2024.
Dr Lau is trained in the management of general Ear, Nose and Throat conditions and has a special interest in nasal and sinus diseases. His professionalism and compassion for patients have earned him many compliments from his patients. He received the Above & Beyond Award in recognition of his outstanding service and dedication to patient care, and the Esprit de Corps Award for his exemplary teamwork demonstrated to improve the patient experience at Alexandra Hospital ENT clinic.
In addition to his clinical duties, Dr Lau is passionate about medical education and actively participates in research. He serves as a clinical senior lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS and conducts teaching for both undergraduates and post-graduates. He has also given presentations at international scientific conferences and published his work in several peer- reviewed journals.
