Dr Kelven Chen earned his MBBS from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 2010. He became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) in 2012, and was awarded the MOH Healthcare Research Scholarship in 2016 to pursue a Master of Clinical Investigation. He subsequently obtained a Master of Medicine (General Surgery) in 2018 and was admitted as a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (Urology) in 2020.
After completing his Urology residency, Dr Chen was awarded with the Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) scholarship where he completed dual fellowships in Endourology from both The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University and the University of Montreal Health Centre.
Being an active researcher, Dr Chen has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and presented extensively at international urology conferences. He has been awarded multiple research grants and continues to contribute to advancements in urological care through both clinical and academic work.
He is passionate about advancing minimally invasive urological surgery, with a special interest in endoscopic and laser-based procedures for the treatment of benign prostatic conditions and kidney stones. He also contributes actively to clinical education as a Clinical Lecturer under the NUS Clinical Faculty Scheme.
