Dr Pradip Dashraath is a Consultant Obstetrician in the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine, where he cares for women with high-risk pregnancies, especially those affected by complex medical conditions.
He graduated from the National University of Singapore with Dean’s List honours in 2012, completed his specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at NUH in 2021, and was the top-scoring candidate in the national O&G Exit Examinations administered by the Academy of Medicine, Singapore in the same year.
He now runs both the High-Risk Pregnancy and Gestational Diabetes clinics at NUH, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide personalised, evidence-based care.
In addition to his clinical role, Dr Dashraath is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at NUS Medicine and serves as Core Faculty in the NUHS PGY1 Programme. He has a longstanding interest in medical education and has received multiple institutional awards, including the NUHS Teaching Excellence Award (2023), the NUHS Young Clinician Mentor Award (2020), and consecutive NUS Dean’s Teaching Awards annually from 2014 to 2022.
His research focuses on complex obstetric medicine and has been published in leading journals, including The Lancet, The New England Journal of Medicine, and The American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology. A strong advocate of interprofessional collaboration, he works at the intersection of obstetrics and medical subspecialties, such as infectious diseases, rheumatology, and internal medicine, with collaborators in Singapore, the United States, and Switzerland.
Outside the hospital, Dr Dashraath contributes to national women’s health services as Women’s Health Specialist Advisor for Obstetrics to the National University Polyclinics Specialty Advisory Group.
