Biosketch

Dr Peng Li Lee is Head and Senior Consultant at the Emergency Medicine Department, National University Hospital (NUH). She has more than 30 years of experience in Emergency Medicine, caring for patients presenting with acute illnesses, serious injuries, and life threatening emergencies.

Dr Peng graduated from the National University of Singapore and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (Accident & Emergency) and the Academy of Medicine Singapore. She was appointed Head of the Emergency Department at NUH in 2020 and continues to provide clinical care while leading the department.

As an experienced emergency physician and department head, Dr Peng combines calm decision making with strong clinical judgement and team leadership, guiding multidisciplinary teams through complex emergency situations with a clear focus on patient safety and quality of care. Her clinical expertise includes emergency resuscitation, advanced airway management, and the rapid assessment of critically ill patients.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr Peng is actively involved in medical education. She is an Adjunct Associate Professor at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS, and is engaged in teaching and training doctors across all levels. At the national level, she serves as Chair of the Ministry of Health Emergency Medicine Residency Advisory Committee and Vice President of the College of Emergency Physicians, Academy of Medicine Singapore.

Dr Peng has received multiple awards for her contributions to patient care, education, and public service, and remains committed to delivering timely, compassionate, and high quality emergency care.
