Biosketch

Dr Bernice Tan is a Consultant Gastroenterologist at the National University Hospital (NUH), Singapore. She graduated from the National University of Singapore with an MBBS in 2015 and completed her Internal Medicine Residency at NUH in 2018, obtaining both MRCP (UK) and a Master of Medicine in Internal Medicine. She subsequently completed Senior Residency training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at NUH in 2021 and was accredited as a Gastroenterology and Hepatology specialist in Singapore in the same year.

Dr Bernice's major interests are in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), Small Bowel Disease, and General Gastroenterology/Hepatology. Her clinical and research interests focus on IBD in special populations - particularly paediatric, geriatric and pregnant patients. She leads the IBD paediatric transition clinic at NUH, supporting adolescents and young adults as they transition from paediatric to adult IBD care. She is also actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education.
