Biosketch

Dr. Gavin Ng Yeow Peng is presently a consultant with the Department of Cardiology, National University Heart Centre Singapore (NUHCS) and Clinical Assistant Professor of the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. He is the Clinical Director of Interventional Cardiology and Angiography Centre, NUHCS.

Dr. Ng completed Internal Medicine Residency NUHS in 2014 and Cardiology Senior Residency, National University Heart Centre, Singapore (NUHCS) in 2017. His subspecialty interest is in interventional cardiology. He underwent further training in Barts Heart Centre in 2022, focusing on treating severe coronary artery disease and chronic total occlusion lesions.

During procedures, he is a strong advocate for patient comfort and ultrasound use in obtaining vascular access. He is well versed in all aspects of calcium modification techniques and promotes routine use of imaging and physiology guidance during percutaneous coronary interventions.

He currently performs coronary interventions in National University Hospital and in Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH).

He is active in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education and has received multiple teaching awards. He is also a core faculty member of the Cardiology Senior Residency Program.
