Biosketch

Dr. Christl Yong graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Monash University in 2012. She then joined the National Healthcare Group (NHG) National Psychiatry Residency Programme in 2015, where she rotated through various departments including National University Hospital (NUH), Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH), Singapore General Hospital (SGH), and Institute of Mental Health (IMH). She was conferred a Membership in the Royal College of Psychiatrists from the United Kingdom in 2019. During her residency years, she was part of the Singapore Young Psychiatrist in Training (SYPT) EXCO in 2019. She completed her training successfully and obtained her specialist accreditation for Psychiatry in 2022.

She believes that a holistic and multidisciplinary approach is essential to patient care. She has interests in perinatal psychiatry. She is also passionate about continued medical education and is involved in undergraduate medical education with NUS.
