Dr Melissa Tay graduated from Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 2010. She obtained post-graduate qualifications from the Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and Physicians (Glasgow) in 2017 and completed her urology specialist training in 2018.
 
Dr Tay manages general urology conditions with a special interest in female and functional urology, recurrent urinary tract infections and adolescent transitional care urology. In line with her interests, she has pioneered the intravesical treatment for recurrent urinary tract infections in the department. 
 
Dr Tay is also a faculty of the clinical faculty scheme at the Department of Surgery, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. She participates in undergraduate and postgraduate education and is involved in various teaching curriculums for undergraduate medical students and other healthcare professionals.
