Dr Tan graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 1997. He completed his specialist training in Anaesthesia and did a 1-year fellowship programme at the Great Ormond Street Hospital, London in 2005.
Dr Tan has keen interest in paediatric peri-operative care.
His other interest include the use of simulation in healthcare education. He is currently involved in teaching medical undergraduate and postgraduate students and crisis management for nurses and other healthcare professionals.
In his free time, he enjoys nature photography and travelling around the world with his growing family
