Dr Soumen Das De completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery in 2013, obtaining the College of Surgeons Gold Medal for the FRCS (Ortho) examinations. He went on to complete a clinical fellowship in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery, New York. In order to further his interests in hand and reconstructive microsurgery, Dr Das De completed a second residency in Hand Surgery in 2016. He obtained a Master of Public Health degree from Harvard University, with an emphasis on biostatistics and epidemiology. He is focused on improving research methodology in the musculoskeletal sciences and incorporating evidence-based medicine in residency training.
