Biosketch

Dr Venkatesh completed basic medical training followed by post-graduate training in Paediatrics in India. He subsequently moved to the UK for higher specialist training in Paediatrics that was followed by sub-speciality training in Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition with exclusive training in Paediatric Transplant Hepatology. He has dual accreditation in both General Paediatrics as well as Paediatric Gastroenterology and Hepatology with 10 years of experience in caring for children with gastrointestinal disorders, liver disease including the management of children requiring liver transplantation and pancreatic disorders.

He continues to be actively involved in research and various academic activities, having presented and published his work at several international conferences and scientific journals relevant to Paediatric Liver disease. His areas of special interest include Transplant Hepatology, Chronic liver disease, Auto-immune liver disorders and recurrent pancreatitis. He is actively involved in teaching both undergraduate medical students as well as post-graduate paediatric trainees.
