Dr Poh Keng Soon is a fellowship-trained consultant in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Division of Sports Medicine, Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, NUH and the Joint Replacement and Reconstruction Centre, Alexandra Hospital.
After graduated with Medical Degree in 2009, Dr Poh joined the Postgraduate Specialists Training Programme in Orthopaedics Surgery, NUHS in 2012. He was appointed a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) in 2013 and obtained the Master of Medicine (Ortho Surgery, National University of Singapore) in 2017. He completed his postgraduate training and was appointed a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2018. Dr Poh subsequently received MOH HMDP award to further pursue his training in Melbourne, Australia with special focus in sports, shoulder and elbow surgery.
Dr Poh specialises in shoulder and elbow conditions, ranging from sports injuries, trauma to degenerative conditions. He specialises in arthroscopic surgery for various shoulder conditions such as recurrent dislocations and rotator cuff tears. Shoulder replacement surgery for arthritis is commonly performed with computer planning and 3D printed patient-specific instrumentations.
Being a clinical tutor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, he is involved actively in undergraduate and post graduate education in Orthopaedics.
