Biosketch

Dr Ong is currently a Senior Consultant and a clinician educator with the Division of Neurology.

He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, National University of Singapore, in 2007. He has been a member of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) since 2011 and obtained his Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) (Singapore) in 2012. He received his specialist accreditation in Neurology in 2014. He has been a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (Edinburgh) since 2015.

Apart from seeing patients with a variety of Neurological conditions, Dr Ong’s main interest lies in Headache Disorders and Facial pain. He was awarded the Academic Medicine Development award 2016/2017 for a fellowship in Headache Neurology at King’s College Hospital, London, under the tutelage of Professor Peter J Goadsby. He is the clinical lead for Headache Disorders at National University Hospital and Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.
 
Dr Ong is also the current President of the Headache Society of Singapore.
