Biosketch

Dr. Oon joined the Division of Infectious Diseases at NUH in 2011 where she developed a passion for travel and tropical medicine during the period of her Advanced Specialist Training. Currently as a Clinical Director, she is helping to expand OPAT services by moving into the community via home visits and nursing homes. Contributing towards hospital work processes, she developed the clinical pathway for the management of dengue fever in NUH and is also helping to set up the new Travel Clinic, to be based in OPAT. To help inspire the same passion in others, she is active in undergraduate and postgraduate education. She is serving as the Undergraduate Program Director in the Division of Infectious Diseases at NUH. Besides being involved in clinical lectures, she has also undertaken the development of the undergraduate medical curriculum and will be writing the Infectious Diseases chapter for the NUH Asian Textbook for Clinical Medicine.

She is now a Member of Infectious Diseases Systems-based Workgroup, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore.
