Dr Chew Kean Lee is a senior consultant microbiologist at the Department of Laboratory Medicine, NUH. Prior to his position as head of department, he was the department’s patient safety officer as well as clinical director.
Dr Chew has an active role in education. He is a lecturer for Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine’s phase II and phase IV students, the coordinator and lecturer for Alice Lee’s School of Nursing MIC2000 infection module and contributes to the NUS Life Sciences Advances in Antimicrobial Strategies module.
His areas of interest include antibiotic resistance surveillance and severe Staphylococcus aureus infections.
