Biosketch

Dr Chen Ching Kit completed his undergraduate medical studies at the National University of Singapore and post-graduate training in paediatrics and paediatric cardiology at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Singapore. He subsequently did a fellowship in paediatric heart failure and heart transplantation at the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, Canada. 

Prior to his fellowship in Toronto, Dr Chen had a passion for teaching. He firmly believes that students can learn better when their instructor / teacher cares for their educational needs. During his 2-year fellowship, he was exposed to various research opportunities.

His current areas of interest are cardiomyopathies, exercise echocardiography in cardiomyopathy and congenital heart disease and paediatric heart failure and transplantation. His other areas of interest and expertise include exercise echocardiography, foetal cardiology and 3D printing of heart models.
