Biosketch

Dr Charmaine Sia obtained her medical degree from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 2015. She underwent her Internal Medicine junior residency at the Department of Medicine, National University Health System where she was conferred Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) and Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (United Kingdom) in 2017. She subsequently completed her senior residency in the Department of Medicine, National University Health System and achieved Specialist Accreditation for Nephrology in 2021. She is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine (Singapore)

During her residency, Dr Sia served as a Chief Resident from 2018-2020.

Besides managing a wide variety of kidney conditions, Dr Sia's clinical interests are in interventional nephrology. Academically, she is also interested in medical education. She enrolled in the medical education track in 2018 during her senior residency. She is now an adjunct senior lecturer and is serving as a Phase III posting director for the National University of Singapore (NUS) undergraduate education
