Perioperative Nursing
National University Hospital (NUH) is a major referral centre for a comprehensive range of medical, surgical and dental procedures. Surgeons perform multiple surgeries offering specialty surgical care for both adults and children. NUH is the only public hospital in Singapore to offer both paediatric kidney and liver transplantation programnes, in addition to adult kidney, liver and pancreas transplantation for adults. Beyond surgical excellence, the NUH operating theatre is a unique environment, which enjoys a national reputation of being a principal teaching hospital that nurtures medical, nursing and allied health students. This combination has enriched our respected training and fellowship programmes, bringing complex surgical cases to our Kent Ridge Campus. NUH provides 24-hour inpatient and outpatient perioperative services for elective and emergency surgeries.
