Paediatric Allergy and Immunology

Our Paediatric Allergy and Immunology team is dedicated to delivering comprehensive and accurate diagnosis and management for all allergic conditions and immune deficiencies. We take referrals from polyclinics, general practitioners and other doctors. Private patients can be seen as self-referrals or through the International Patient Liaison Service (IPLC).

Our Services

Our team serves children with a variety of conditions, including:


We also provide comprehensive testing and services for children with allergies:

  • Skin prick and intradermal tests with commercial and customized allergy extracts
  • Oral food challenges and desensitisation procedures
  • Drug challenges and desensitisation procedures
  • Immunotherapy (Sublingual and Subcutaneous)



We have a comprehensive children's asthma service that manages both inpatients as well as outpatients. Our holistic asthma programme includes detailed diagnosis as well as treatment and thorough education and counseling. We have facilities to perform lung function tests, which include:

  • Spirometry
  • Exercise-stress tests
  • Exhaled nitric oxide evaluation
  • Inspiratory and expiratory muscle strength using Respiratory Pressure Meter

Immunology Service

We are a referral centre in Singapore which provides a comprehensive range of diagnostic tests in immune deficiency including measuring immunoglobulin levels, vaccine responses, lymphocyte subsets, lympho-proliferative tests, neutrophil function tests and cytokine measurements. We have successfully transplanted children with complex primary immune deficiencies such as Chronic Granulomatous Disease, Hyper-IgM syndrome and Leukocyte adhesion deficiency type 1.



We offer immunotherapy to treat allergic conditions such as allergy to house dust mites, horse dander, insect stings as well as food allergy, such as peanut allergy in children.

It is dedicated to the holistic care of children with allergies and/or asthma. The programme encompasses inpatient and outpatient services including acute care services together with up-to-date diagnostic and therapeutic facilities. I CAN ! Resources such as educational leaflets and brochures are available from the I CAN ! website.


What To Expect On Your First Appointment?

At your first appointment, your child will be seen by one of our paediatricians specialising in allergy and immunology who will conduct a comprehensive review of his or her medical condition. Allergy tests such as skin scratch test and lung function test may be performed depending on the condition. We will provide appropriate prescriptions after the diagnosis.
