Health Education Talks: Healthy Living

1pm -1.20pm: Nutritious Food Upcycled from the Agrifood Industry

Find out what kind of by-products are generated in the agrifood industry, and learn about the efforts in upcycling these by-products into nutritious and gut-friendly food while contributing to global sustainability goals. Using examples from local and international upcycled food products, A/Prof Cheow will also share some insights into SIT’s research work in this area.

Interested in how farming methodology can promote sustainable and healthy eating? Come and find out more about Spore Gardens, an urban mushroom farm in Singapore that specialises in cultivating ultra-fresh, nutrient-dense mushrooms that also help reduce carbon emissions. Learn from our speaker on how you can use these locally grown, fresh produce to eat healthily, and grow them at home!
