What is LASIK?

LASIK and PRK are forms of laser surgery used to correct myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism. This reduces or removes a person's dependence on glassess or contact lenses.

Our LASIK Treatments

Patients who are keen to remove or reduce their dependence on glasses or contact lenses can be assessed and treated at the LASIK Centre.

The Centre performs advanced Surface Abalation techniques such as PRK (Photorefractive Keratectomy) and EpiLASIK, as well as LASIK (Laser Assisted In-Situ Keratomileusis) such as All Laser LASIK (Femto LASIK) for the correction of myopia (short-sightedness), hyperopia (far-sightedness) and astigmatism.

The Centre also provide ReLEx SMILE service which is a new laser vision correction technique that creates no flap and involves the use of only one laser (the femtosecond laser) for the whole procedure. It is minimally invasive, bladeless and with fast recovery rate. This technique of laser vision corretion is often suitable for patients with high prescriptions, dry eyes, contact lens intolerance, as well as for thin corneas.

The centre performs phakic intraocular lens implants (implantable lens in the eye) or advanced cataract surgery for those found unsuitable for laser vision correction or have cataracts.
