As a speech therapist, I focus on two functions that are intimately personal to us - communication and eating/drinking. These are things we often take for granted. Being in a position to help patients regain these functions keeps me motivated

Beyond treating the impairment, I always remember that behind the impairment, is a fellow human being. The ability to help a patient eat his first meal after a prolonged stroke, or to find a way for a patient to communicate his first words after a prolonged illness keeps me at what I do. 

I am proud to be a part of NUH, a hospital that believes in doing its best for patients.
