Under normal circumstances, the brain plays an important role in
regulating an individual’s breathing. However, this regulation may be disrupted
during sleep due to various factors, leading to abnormalities in breathing
patterns. Central sleep apnoea often presents with symptoms similar to those of
obstructive sleep apnoea, with the key difference being the absence of an
obstruction causing the condition.
