New diabetes drug gentle on kidneys (The Straits Times, Mind Your Body)


Patients with both type 2 diabetes and kidney impairment are tricky to treat. Doctors have fewer oral drugs to rely on to control their blood sugar, which is elevated because the body has become resistant to insulin.
