  • Young Investigator's Award 1994 at the 28th Singapore-Malaysia Congress of Medicine, Singapore Academy of Medicine.
  • Awarded the China Medical Board Fellowship for subspeciality training at the Johns Hopkins Children's Centre in Baltimore, Maryland, USA in 1996.
  • Led a research group in paediatric obstructive sleep apnea syndrome to win the Young Investigator's Award at the Fifth International Congress on Pediatric Pulmonology in Nice, France in February 2002.
  • Awarded the Health Manpower Development Programme (HMDP) Fellowship year 2003, Ministry of Health, Singapore. 
  • Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Formation Letter of Commendation for 2005 in recognition of outstanding and dedicated service.
