The University Children's Medical Institute (UCMI) is committed to paediatric research in the fields of genetics, nephrology, endocrinology, asthma and allergy, neonatology. With the numerous subspecialties in paediatrics, there continues to be a significant scope for research at the CMI. Clinical drug and vaccine trials are part of the strength of the department - please contact us.


Research programmes are undertaken only if ethical approval has been granted. In addition no patient is enlisted into a research program without their consent. Patients treatment will not be affected if they prefer not to participate in research programs.
