Dr Julian Tang graduated from Christs College Cambridge (1989 2nd MB) and The University of Sheffield (1996, Final MB). He was granted Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (London) in 1999, Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists in 2004.
As a specialist clinical virologist (FRCPath, UK in clinical virology), Dr Tangs research interests include all aspects of clinical virology, i.e. where viruses infect and affect humans. This includes the epidemiology, diagnosis, pathogenesis and treatment of viral infections, including preventative aspects, such as vaccination and infection control particularly of aerosol/airborne-transmitted infections.
