Dr Anita Lim received her MBChB degree from the University of Glasgow as a Brunei government scholar. She worked in Brunei in general medicine and paediatrics before returning to the UK where she obtained the MRCP in 2000 and CCST in Rheumatology in 2005. Her training was based in Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge with Hill Gaston (reactive arthritis, spondyloarthropathies), Brian Hazleman (giant cell arteritis, polymyalgia rheumatica, shoulder pain, tendonopathies, paediatric rheumatology), Adrian Crisp (metabolic bone disease, CRPS ), John Jenner (back pain), Cathy Speed (sports medicine). She has been involved in numerous clinical trials involving the biological agents. The latter half of her training was at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital with David Scott (primary systemic vasculitides, paediatric rheumatology), Karl Gaffney (spondyloarthropathies, paediatric rheumatology), Peter Merry (IDET in back pain) and Tarnya Marshall( rheumatology undergraduate medical curriculum). Her special interests include the inflammatory arthritides, primary systemic vasculitis and paediatric rheumatology. Here in NUH, she is a Consultant Rheumatologist in the Department of Medicine and a clinical teacher at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS.
