Overview

The Department of Rehabilitation Medicine was set up in 1985. It is an established department with occupational therapists, physiotherapists, podiatrists, and speech therapists working together to provide holistic and integrated rehabilitation services. The primary goal of our department is to provide specialised, personalised, and evidence-based rehabilitative services of the highest quality to our patients.

The NUH Rehabilitation Centre adopts a multi-disciplinary and integrative approach to patient care. Through individual and group therapy sessions, our therapists utilise their professional knowledge, therapeutic skills and resources to address the various needs of patients ranging from children to the elderly.

Our services are not only aimed at a particular condition or disability but are coordinated to address the total well-being of the individual, and the needs of the family and caregivers. Patients’ progress is continually reviewed to ensure that their rehabilitative needs are met at all times.

In addition to providing rehabilitative services, the Rehabilitation Centre also provides educational talks to organisations and the public.
