Overview

The Department of Urology provides a comprehensive range of healthcare services to our patients at our one-stop Urology Centre. This modern set-up is equipped with comprehensive investigative and therapeutic facilities. Most of the urological evaluation and outpatient day procedures can be performed in one location and within the same day.

Our facilities include:

• Bedside ultrasound machines in each consultation room for quick screening of the kidneys, bladder and prostate (for men) during consultation.
• Shockwave lithotripsy service to treat urinary calculi,
• Cystoscopy facility to screen for bladder abnormalities such as bladder stone or tumour.
• Urodynamics and video-urodynamics services to assess for bladder dysfunction,
• Uroflow studies to assess voiding pattern.
• Transrectal Ultrasound (TRUS)/ Ultrasound facilities to assess kidneys, bladder and prostate and if necessary, to do transrectal biopsy of the prostate gland to exclude prostatic malignancy.

We are the first center in South-East Asia to perform Transurethral Resection of the Prostate gland (TURP) as a day surgery procedure.
