Overview

The Heart Institute, National Healthcare Group (THI, NHG), provides cardiac services in NHG institutions like Alexandra Hospital, National University Hospital and Tan Tock Seng Hospital. THI brings together the resources, expertise and capabilities in the areas of cardiology, cardiothoracic and vascular surgery to better meet the needs of the growing number of patients with heart diseases.

The cardiac units within NHG groups of hospitals also work closely with NHG polyclinics and GP members of NHG partners to ensure seamless care for patients with heart problems. This is coordinated with undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, training of specialised groups involved in the care of patients, and high level research.

The team of cardiothoracic and vascular surgeons specialises in treating heart, lung disorders and blood vessels.
