Overview

The Breast Clinic sees about 300 new breast cancer patients in a year. New patients are seen at the “one-stop clinic”, which is available every day of the week. During the clinic sessions, patients will be able to consult a specialist and have investigations, such as mammogram, ultrasound and biopsy, all performed on the same day. The convenience of this service saves patients the extra visits.

We offer breast screening for women above 40 as well as various other screening packages within NUH. We also evaluate and treat benign breast conditions such as fibroadenoma, nipple discharge and breast pain. In addition, we are involved in several clinical trials and research studies and are continuously evaluating new drugs, imaging procedures such as MRI and surgical procedures such as sentinel node biopsy.

All patients are evaluated at our weekly multi-disciplinary tumour conference (MTC) and are jointly managed by a dedicated team of specialists from medical oncology, radiation oncology and diagnostic imaging. Patients are also seen and counselled by our experienced Specialist Nurses.
