| As part of the National University Health Service’s Department of Medicine, we are a team of doctors who specialise in the fields of respiratory medicine (which focuses on disorders of the lungs) and critical care medicine (which focuses on critically ill patients).
We strongly believe in evidence-based medicine and strive to provide exemplary care to our patients. We provide tertiary care to patients with lung disorders as well as patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit and Medical High Dependency Unit using state-of-the-art medicines and equipment.
Given our passion for research, our papers on diverse topics like pleural disorders, pneumonia, tuberculosis, obstructive lung diseases, bronchology, sleep disorders, critical illness and medical education, have been published in multiple medical journals. Further research on various important issues is ongoing.
We believe in the importance of training our future generation of doctors and organise regular teaching sessions for our doctors in Advanced and Basic Specialist Training. We also accept overseas doctors who are interested in our field of medicine as fellows.
