Lung Function Testing

Our Lung Function Laboratory performs various tests to assess the function of the lungs. These tests help not only in the diagnoses of the lung disorders but also in assessing the severity. They include:

  • Spirometry
  • Static lung volume measurement
  • Body plethysmography
  • Diffusing capacity measurement
  • Exhaled nitric oxide measurement
  • Methacholine challenge test
  • Maximal inspiratory and expiratory pressure measurement
  • Resistance and compliance measurement
  • Exercise oximetry
  • Exercise challenge test for asthma
  • Six-minute walking distance test
  • Others
In addition, we work with our Cardiac Laboratory to provide formal cardiopulmonary exercise testing.
