We conduct education at several levels
- Undergraduate Training
- Postgraduate years 1-5: Basic Specialist Training in Internal Medicine and Seamless Programme in Respiratory Medicine
- Advanced Specialist Training in Respiratory Medicine & Intensive Care Medicine
- Foreign-trained doctors
Our teaching curriculum is team-coordinated and spans all aspects of respiratory medicine, acute medicine and critical care. We utilise an array of teaching aids, from high-fidelity medical simulation to task trainers for bag-valve mask ventilation, intubation and ultrasound guided central line insertion. Tutorials are delivered in an interactive manner using an audience response system to enhance learner participation and feedback.
We have a strong focus not only on evidence-based academic content but also on cognitive and practical skills training conducted under close supervision.
The goal of our training and mentorship program is to ultimately enhance physician performance in order to improve patient outcomes & safety in the acute medical care setting.
