Prevention Of Stroke
|
| |
| There are several contributing
factors to stroke. However, you can control these: |
| |
 |
High blood pressure. |
 |
Diabetes mellitus. |
 |
High cholesterol. |
 |
Smoking. |
 |
Obesity. |
 |
Sedentary lifestyle. |
|
| |
| |
| A BIG PART OF STROKE PREVENTION IS TO ADJUST THE WAY YOU LIVE YOUR LIFE. |
| |
| If you have high blood pressure and/or diabetes,
you must monitor your blood pressure and blood sugar regularly or
as prescribed by your doctor. Take your medications daily as prescribed. |
| |
|
|
| |
| Diet control is an important method in the control
of high blood pressure, diabetes and high cholesterol levels. Ask
to speak to a dietician if you have not done so. |
| |
 |
| |
Food Pyramid can be used as a guide to taking a
balanced diet.
Regular exercise at least 3 times a week, with each session lasting
not less than 20 minutes. You should gradually increase the duration
